“Timpupo” means “harvest” among the Manobos and bisaya of Mindanao. It is often used to described harvesting fruits. In this time of the year, Kidapawan and nearby cooler climate areas produces bountiful of fruits. Thus Timpupo festival coincides or mean a plentiful fruit harvest.
